The 3rd grade of primary school for the Environmental Studies lesson “The Place I live ” , took part in the educational program: “Kalamata: From the castle to the beach- Environment and History” organized by the Kalamata Environmental Education Center. The students were divided into groups. They visited Frangolimna Square, where they ran as athletes reviving the athletes’ training for the Olympics and the Nuns’ Monastery , where they learned about how to use the loom and the history of the Monastery. They also walked around the Castle of our city learning about its history, discussed in the church of Ypapanti and they completed their walk at Saint Apostles Church, where they followed the church service and learnt about where the revolution began.
