Water and Bread in Traditional Society

Students of the 2nd year of Lykeio had the opportunity to participate in an educational experiential program entitled “Water and Bread in Traditional Society”. The purpose of this program is for students  to get acquainted with elements of folklore and traditions by making a basic feature of the Greek diet ,such as bread. Through the kneading and baking they came in contact with historical and folklore information about  making  bread , its nutritional value, its chemical preparation, and followed the evolution  of  the Greek diet starting from the years of  the Turkish occupation and the Revolution  of 1821 until today.
