On Sunday, January 19th , 2020, the Animal Welfare Club of Ekpedeftiria Bouga (FOB) and the school’s French and German departments, organized an event dedicated to our four-legged friends. The money raised was given to Kalamata’s Animal Welfare Association (FOK).
Our students informed their guests about the work of the two organisations FOK and FOB and through videos and theatrical plays provided valuable advice on how to treat pets and stray animals. The presentation was completed with beautiful songs in French, German and Greek by the students of 4th and 5th grade of primary school.
There was also a bazaar with crafts the children had made : jewellery, accessories, sweets, soaps, beauty products … all made with love and care! At the end of the evening, everyone enjoyed warm Glühwein (red wine) as well as a delicious bratwurst- sandwich.
Great supporters of this effort were the FOK President Katerina Pezoni, the Vice-President Ioanna Karnouskou and the members of the animal welfare association, who congratulated our students and thanked them for their help and support in their struggle for the animal shelter’s smooth and efficient functioning.
