On Friday, November 15th, 2019, students of Grades 5 and 6 of our primary school went on an educational and recreational visit to Costa Navarino, where they participated in an educational program implemented in the context of Messinian Gastronomy Seminars.
During the visit, the students were divided into groups so as to take part in the culinary-gastronomy workshops, which focused on the Mediterranean diet and the usage of olive oil, with the aim of promoting healthy nutrition and a unique diet of nutritional value based on Messinian products.
The workshops that took place were entitled “Promoting the quality of olive oil through tasting”, “Preparing a healthy cereal bar with the chef Jacob Apergi “,” Olive and Olive Oil on the Olive Grove”and” Olive and Oil in Restaurants “. For each workshop the groups were made up of students depending on their age.
They were taken to and from CostaNavarino by Costa Navarino coach buses. The participation in the program is free.
